He Came!

Believers can debate the origins of the Christmas holiday and whether Jesus was actually born on December 25th. But we can be united behind the most important fact—He came!

Humanity was sitting in darkness, in despair and in need of a redeemer. Our only hope rested in God’s promise: “The Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14 NKJV)

He left His Heavenly seat to come to us as Immanuel—God with us.

And so the “Christmas spirit” takes its lead from the love and selflessness displayed first by our Heavenly Father. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16 NKJV)

At its fundamental level, Jesus is the Gift seeks to encourage Christians to glorify the Lord, to remember and honor Him as our Savior, and to remain tuned-in to our “first love.”
