The Purpose Behind Our Content

The content of JesusistheGift.com seeks to bring different viewpoints and ideas of how Christians can celebrate, give and decorate at Christmas while glorifying Jesus.

The thoughts and ideas expressed here are not intended as an all encompassing list, but as a springboard for ongoing seeking and pursuit on how to glorify God in all that we do. We appreciate these authors’ words and vision and trust that you will find their words encouraging, challenging and meaningful.

Jeanne Winters is the author of the book Inspirational Home: Simple Ideas for Uplifting Décor and Craft, the first of its kind, how-to home accent design book based on Christian themes. Merging her artistic skills with her passion for interior design and a professional background in graphic design, Winters developed Inspirational Home to be innovative resource for Christians.

She has written inspirational articles for Christian Women Today, Fresh Outlook and Today’s Christian Woman magazine. Winters has appeared on national television and has spoken at a number of Christian women’s events with positive messages to encourage others in their personal endeavors to create an uplifting home. Winters currently resides in St. George, Utah, with her husband, Robert and their children, Ava and Chas.

Holley Gerth is a writer and creative manager for DaySpring with ten years of experience in the greeting card industry. In addition to cards, Holley has written magazine articles, devotionals, and children’s books.

She is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in counseling to help her better understand the needs of people and how to meet those needs through her writing. Holley shares her heart and home with her husband Mark and a very silly dog named Katie.

Dr. John S. Barnett has been teaching the Word of God for over thirty years. For five years he served as Associate Pastor to Dr. John MacArthur at Grace Community Church (Sun Valley, CA) and was also a professor there at The Master’s Seminary and College.

After serving in California, Rhode Island and Oklahoma, John is presently pastoring and teaching the vibrant assembly of saints at Calvary Bible Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan. John shares his life with Bonnie, his beloved wife, and their eight children.

John also is the founder of Discover the Book Ministries – a non-profit ministry established to distribute the in depth expository messages of John’s more than thirty years of ministry in the Word. Discover the Book Ministries ministers through its website and through daily radio broadcasts nationwide.

Roy Lessin is a graduate of Bethany College of Missions. He is an ordained minister of the Gospel and a Bible teacher. Roy has served as a Missionary, and Christian Education Director/Youth Leader.

In 1971, Roy was one of the founders of DaySpring greeting cards and is presently a senior writer for DaySpring. Roy has written many gift and devotional books, including the award winning Forgiven. His most recent books are Today Is Your Best Day and His Footsteps, My Pathway.

Jamey Clayberg is a designer at DaySpring Cards as well as an accomplished musician/singer/songwriter. Jamey’s interest in music started with his exposure to the traditional music of Papua New Guinea as a child of a missionary family and has continued with more than 25 years of making and enjoying music.
